The M11 motorway from Moscow to St. Petersburg, stretching a total length of 669 kms, was officially opened at the end of November, 2019. The M11 motorway goes through six constituent entities of The Russian Federation: the cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg, and the Moscow, Tver, Novgorod, and Leningrad oblasts. Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, congratulated the construction workers and was the first to ride the motorway in a limousine made by the Russian brand AURUS. The M11 motorway is the first highway between the two largest cities in Russia built from scratch in the post-Soviet era.
