AURUS at the ProDvizhenie Festival: History, Technology, Status

Between 30 July and 2 August, the historic VDNKh complex in Moscow was transformed into a major exhibition venue, bringing together engineering and design from different eras.

The exhibition showcased a timeline of notable models at the main entrance — from one-off prototypes and concept cars to unique production examples, each marking a milestone in the history of the Russian automotive industry.

Pride of place went to the AURUS Senat Cabriolet, a car built specifically for the Victory Day Parade.

The full AURUS range was presented in the heart of VDNKh. The exhibition highlighted the brand's engineering ethos, its design language, and its role as the official vehicle of the country's most senior officials.

The line-up included the flagship Senat, the facelifted Senat, the Komendant SUV, the Arsenal MPV, and the Senat Limousine.

All AURUS vehicles are built on a single modular platform, ensuring technological consistency across the range. The hybrid powertrain pairs a 598 hp V8 with a 62 hp electric motor and a home-grown nine-speed automatic gearbox.

The model names — Senat, Komendant, Arsenal — are drawn from the towers of the Moscow Kremlin, underlining the brand's close connection to the nation's history.

The ProDvizhenie festival was organised by VDNKh and the Museum of the Special Purpose Garage of the Federal Protective Service of Russia.
